Reports to: CNC Operator cum Setter

To operate and set up CNC machines efficiently, ensuring quality and productivity in machining processes while adhering to company standards and safety protocols.

1. Set up and operate CNC machines for various machining tasks, including turning and milling.
2. Program or load pre-written programs into CNC machines and adjust offsets as required.
3. Conduct tool changes and ensure proper tool management for optimal machining.
4. Perform quality checks using measuring tools like micrometres, bore gauge, and profile projector to verify thread dimensions.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operations, tooling, or part quality.
6. Maintain machines through regular cleaning and lubrication, and report any major maintenance needs.
7. Ensure proper documentation of completed jobs, including inspection reports and production logs.

1. Strong knowledge of CNC programming and setup (G-code/M-code familiarity).
2. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
3. Problem-solving skills to diagnose machining issues and implement corrective actions.
4. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
5. Ability to work under pressure to meet production deadlines.
6. Teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with other departments.

2. Maintain consistent part quality within specified tolerances.
3. Reduce tool and material wastage through proper handling and programming.
4. Provide timely updates to supervisors about machine performance or operational challenges.

1. Qualifications: IT Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, CNC Machining, or a related field.
2. 10+ years of experience as a CNC Operator or Setter.
3. Knowledge of machining various materials, including alloys and metals.
4. Basic understanding of EHS standards and compliance.
