Site engineer is part of the site management team and takes some of the responsibility for security, health and safety, and organising and supervising materials and people. Site engineer marks out the site, makes sure designs are applied correctly and liaises with main and sub-contractors and the site manager. Site engineer performs a technical, organisational and supervisory role on construction projects. Site engineer has to execute the job as per the approved drawings, designs and schedule following the approved method statements without compromising the safety and quality with approved materials. He has to maintain a good relationship with the client engineers.
