To oversee, manage, review and monitor all process‑related work performed as part of the Common Seawater Supply Project (CSSP). The bulk of the work will be performed by FEED and EPC contractors. The role will also include leading other Process Engineers and Designers as may be needed in the performance of the work. Long‑term, the position will integrate into the WBG Engineering and Design Services organization as a senior engineer involved in FEEDs, designs and PMC type projects.

• Lead independently a team of Engineers, Designers & Draftsmen within the process discipline.
• Ensure effective communications and coordination between all process team members and all other disciplines, to ensure mutual awareness of requirements and sharing of information and common resources.
• Monitor overall productivity and efficiency of the project, forecast trends and anticipate potential problems and difficulties meeting milestones or budget within the process discipline, coordinate with the project team including all disciplines to resolve problems.
• Implement and maintain productivity targets for the process team members, including monitoring of overtime and budgeted man‑hours.
• Conduct routine meetings with the process team to monitor the project’s performance and assess their performance.
• Prepare an estimate of required man‑hours along with supporting documentation for process activities and any change orders.
• Implement staffing development plans and assign staff to specific project activities.
• Identify additional project staff needs and coordinate with the process department to provide the necessary resources; support and enhance the technical expertise of process team members to suit the project needs, perform evaluations of process team members.
• Perform and/or coordinate all technical reviews of contractor‑submitted process deliverables.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years of total experience in professional engineering, involving design, planning, checking, general management and supervisory responsibility in water‑related industries.
• 5 years of previous process design experience in an engineering consultancy or an EPC company.
• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Engineer, leading or supervising a project team of engineers & designers.
• Experience in reviewing key deliverables prepared by the process team or produced by other work‑share offices or by subcontractors.
• Strong engineering competence, interpersonal/team‑building skills and leadership skills.
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices, codes and standards applicable to process engineering, and working knowledge in various areas such as physical/chemical treatment, membrane treatment, chemical handling systems, etc.
• Hands‑on experience in process modeling, hydraulic modeling, MS Office Suite, etc.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential for client, interdisciplinary and vendor coordination, and coordination with other work‑share offices or subcontractors.

• MS preferred.
• Oil and gas related experience including deoxygenation systems and process knowledge/experience.
• Arabic language skills.
