KBR is looking for a Construction Superintendent – Civil with Onshore (Steel Structure) experience to be based in Abu Dhabi for an EPC project.

A Bachelor’s in Civil engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including a minimum of five (5) years, preferred in GCC region. Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position for mega EPC Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.

• Experience in Fabrication Steel Structure.
• Review and provide input to the overall construction plan, procedures and construction requirements identified in the EPC Contract to ensure constructability.
• Review of construction organization and manning.
• Review construction plans and detailed procedures.
• Hands-on experience in Oil & Gas.
• Monitor the EPC Contractor’s allocation of construction resources in consideration of relative priorities to meet the construction program and recommend any appropriate corrective action where shortage of resources might prejudice the program.
• Review and ensure that all construction procedures, method statements and Inspection & Test Plans are issued as final approved documents before start of any related work.
• Monitor and manage inspection of the construction work performed by the EPC Contractor and/or its subcontractors to verify that such work is performed in compliance with the approved procedures and specifications, and that the workmanship is in accordance with appropriate standards of quality.
• Ensure that the EPC Contractor has mobilized representatives of VENDORS and/or LICENSORS as required to support the construction activities.
• Monitor the progress of work at SITE against the PROJECT Schedule.
• Monitor the development of punch lists and close out of listed items as WORKS progress.
• Monitor and ensure that the EPC Contractor provides all reports and test records in accordance with the provisions of the EPC Contract.
• Be fully conversant with HSEQ plan.
• Review Mechanical Completion / Pre-commissioning Manual.
• Review Contractor’s request for issuance of Mechanical Completion Certificate(s) and make recommendations to Management on acceptability.
• Monitor and ensure that the work is performed in strict compliance with the safety procedures and requirements.
