Project Leadership: Oversee and manage all MEP-related activities on site, ensuring the effective execution of installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
Coordination: Work closely with project teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that the MEP systems meet project specifications and client requirements.
Budget and Schedule Management: Ensure MEP systems are installed within the established budget and timeline. Identify and resolve any potential issues or delays that may impact the project’s schedule.
Quality Control: Maintain high standards of safety and quality, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and best practices in the MEP industry.
Troubleshooting: Act as the primary point of contact for any MEP-related challenges, resolving issues and providing solutions efficiently.
Documentation and Reporting: Monitor progress and provide detailed reports to senior management regarding MEP installation and status.
Team Management: Lead and supervise MEP subcontractors and field staff, ensuring optimal performance and safety practices at all times.
Procurement: Oversee the procurement of MEP materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and appropriate quality standards.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate any risks related to the MEP systems during the construction phase.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience: Minimum of 14 years in MEP construction management, with a proven track record of successfully managing large, complex projects.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical.
Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), LEED accreditation, or any other relevant certifications are a plus.
Skills: Extensive knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing design and installation. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple teams and subcontractors effectively. In-depth understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Proficient in construction management software and tools.
