E&S Engineer: Environmental & Social Compliance Lead
Job summary
A leading construction company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an E&S Engineer to ensure compliance with environmental and social requirements at project sites. This role involves implementing Environmental Management Plans, monitoring social aspects, and preparing compliance reports. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 6-10 years of experience in E&S, preferably within infrastructure or construction. Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH and IEMA are advantageous.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
- 6 -10 years of relevant experience in E&S or environmental roles.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IEMA, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Environmental Management Plan and ensure compliance.
- Monitor labor camp conditions, worker welfare, and community-related issues.
- Prepare and submit daily / weekly / monthly E&S reports.
- Conduct E&S inductions and promote sustainability best practices.
- Coordinate with construction teams and liaise with clients on compliance.
