Review and implement project environmental studies namely HSIEA, PER, EIA, etc.
Prepare necessary 'environment management' related submittals for tenders and proposals in line with client requirements and NMDC EMS.
Review and follow up with local authorities on environmental permits.
Design and implement project environment management plans in line with client requirement, environment studies recommendations in cooperation with project management.
Conduct internal management system audits and subcontractors audits on compliance with the applicable standards.
Conduct Environment aspect/impact assessment for activities.
Support environmental officer and Project Manager in adherence to Environment Management Plans.
Report to Environmental Superintendent on all project environmental issues.
Perform incident and accident investigations and report findings back to environment superintendent.
Review and monitor Environmental Officer's performance in projects.
Verify that established procedures are followed and that all necessary corrective actions concerning non-conformities and deficiencies are being carried out to completion.
Report the performance details of the Implemented HS EMS to the top management at periodic intervals and during the Management Review meetings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Science or equivalent
NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA / OSHAD or equivalent
Certification in HSE Audit is an advantage
Minimum 06 years of related work experience in similar industries
Flexible in terms of work location (offshore or onshore)

Advanced Environmental Knowledge
Deep understanding of environmental regulations (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, NEPA, etc.) and sustainability practices.
Knowledge of environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and the ability to apply them to projects and operations.
Expertise in pollution control technologies, waste management, water treatment, air quality monitoring, and environmental conservation.
Design and Implementation of Environmental Solutions
Ability to design systems for water and wastewater treatment, air pollution control, waste disposal, and energy-efficient systems.
Expertise in assessing, designing, and implementing renewable energy solutions (solar, wind, etc.) or sustainable building systems (LEED).
Experience in creating plans and systems to reduce carbon footprints, mitigate environmental impacts, and improve energy efficiency.
Project Management
Leading environmental engineering projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and managing project teams.
Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Ability to manage contracts with vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers.
Regulatory Compliance and Environmental Standards
Ensuring that projects meet local, state, and federal environmental regulations and industry standards.
Performing audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental laws and company policies.
Leading and preparing documentation for regulatory submissions, permits, and certifications (e.g., environmental impact reports, environmental management plans, etc.).
Data Analysis and Environmental Monitoring
Ability to analyze environmental data (e.g., emissions, water quality, noise pollution) to assess environmental impact.
Experience with environmental monitoring tools and techniques, such as air and water sampling, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), or remote sensing technology.
Using data to recommend actions or corrective measures to reduce environmental risks.
