Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Hand Marking Foreman to lead a crew in the manual application of road and pavement markings. This role involves supervising on-site activities, ensuring work is completed to high standards, and managing the team effectively while maintaining safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a crew performing manual road marking tasks using hand tools and equipment.
• Interpret and follow road marking layouts, site drawings, and traffic control plans.
• Ensure accurate and neat application of lines, symbols, arrows, and other road markings.
• Set out markings using chalk lines, stencils, measuring tools, and string lines.
• Monitor paint usage, surface preparation, and drying times to ensure quality finish.
• Oversee the use and maintenance of hand-push marking machines and thermoplastic application tools.
• Ensure safety of team and public by setting up cones, barriers, and signage per traffic control requirements.
• Keep accurate daily records of completed work, crew hours, and materials used.
• Train and mentor junior workers in proper hand marking techniques and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, inspectors, and other trades as needed.
