The Data Administrator is responsible for managing maintaining and protecting organizational data to ensure accuracy integrity and accessibility. This role involves designing and implementing effective data management policies monitoring database performance and supporting users with datarelated needs.
- Design implement and maintain data management systems and databases.
- Ensure data integrity security and accessibility across platforms.
- Perform regular data quality checks backups and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with IT business units and other stakeholders to define data requirements and optimize data workflows.
- Monitor and optimize database performance identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Maintain documentation for data processes policies and procedures.
- Enforce data governance standards and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR HIPAA).
- Provide support and training to endusers on data systems and tools.
- Assist with data migration integration and transformation projects.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Administrator Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g. SQL Server Oracle MySQL).
- Knowledge of data security backup and recovery best practices.
- Familiarity with data visualization analytics and reporting tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with cloudbased data platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
- Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing.
- Certification in database or data management tools (e.g. Microsoft SQL certification).
