Job Description

Role Purpose
Is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of advanced aviation projects. This role involves close monitoring of project progress, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that all project milestones are met on time and within budget in compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

• Project Monitoring and Oversight: Supervise the progress of advanced aviation projects to ensure they are on track with timelines, budgets, and specifications. Implement monitoring tools and methodologies to track project performance and identify potential issues early.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects comply with regulatory standards, safety requirements, and quality assurance protocols. Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high standards of quality and performance.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze project data to assess performance metrics and generate detailed reports. Communicate project progress, challenges, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Foster a collaborative environment and ensure effective communication across all teams involved in the projects.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them. Monitor and report on risk factors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement process improvements to enhance project monitoring and overall efficiency. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in project management and aviation technologies.
• Technical Guidance and Support: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams as needed. Ensure all team members are adequately trained and equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge.
• Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and suppliers. Ensure stakeholders are regularly updated on project status and key developments.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all project activities, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and regulatory submissions. Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Resource Allocation: Oversee the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency. Ensure that resources are utilized effectively and in accordance with project requirements.
• Propose and Implement Innovative Solutions: Stay updated on aviation technology advancements and project management methodologies, driving innovation and improving project efficiency and effectiveness.
• Other Duties: Perform other airspace and obstacle job related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
• Ensure compliance with non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, as well as DCAA security policies, to safeguard both government and DCAA confidential information. Address and rectify any ISR audit findings, promptly report security incidents, and engage in ongoing security awareness training to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.

Qualifications

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Certifications:

• Experience in advanced aviation projects or cutting-edge aviation technologies.
• Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies.

Professional Experience:

• At least (8-10) years working experience in Civil Aviation regulatory environment.
• Relevant Project Management Experience.
• Strong knowledge of the applicable civil aviation regulations requirements.
• Strong knowledge of the applicable legal requirements.
