Job Opportunity: Consulting Electrical Engineer/ Technologist (George)

Requirements: ECSA Registered Professional Electrical Engineer/Technologist

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage projects from concept through to closeout
• Design lighting, power, and lightning protection systems
• Prepare tender Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and specifications
• Oversee and mentor regional teams (technical, administrative, and financial)
• Schematic layouts of distribution boards and MCCs
• Project management: Attend and minute site/project meetings, prepare reports
• Manage AutoCAD drawings and designs
• Interface with clients and secure new projects
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems
• Assist with marketing and promoting services to secure new projects
• Travel nationally as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in building consulting services
• Bachelor’s or BTech degree in Electrical Engineering
• Proven managerial and leadership skills
• Proficient in AutoCAD and electrical design
• Experience with PV installation, BoQ preparation, and technical report writing
• Familiarity with ECSA Consulting Engineering Methodology (Stages 1 – 6)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Hands-on design and project management experience
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
• Ethical, energetic, and professional demeanour
• Self-motivated, career-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
