Job Description:

Our client is a dynamic fintech company focused on redefining financial services through innovation, technology, and data. They offer a range of products including digital lending, payments, and credit platforms that empower consumers and businesses alike. They are seeking a forward-thinking Head of Credit Risks to lead their credit risk function across all consumer and commercial lending products. This person will own the development and execution of credit risk strategies, policies, scoring models, and governance frameworks to ensure portfolio health while supporting responsible business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the company’s credit risk management framework, policies, and limits across products and geographies.
• Partner with executive leadership to align risk strategy with product, growth, and compliance objectives.
• Lead the design of scalable credit policies for new and existing lending products, factoring in market trends and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee risk analytics and credit performance monitoring across the full lifecycle—from onboarding and underwriting to collections.
• Leverage data science, AI/ML, and alternative data to optimize credit decisioning models.
• Set and monitor risk appetite thresholds, early warning indicators, and stress testing parameters.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of credit analysts, modelers, and portfolio managers.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Data, Compliance, and Engineering to design risk-aware solutions.
• Ensure proper governance, documentation, and regulatory audit readiness.
• Stay abreast of evolving credit risk regulations across markets.
• Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to lending and risk-related regulatory obligations.
• Represent credit risk function during internal/external audits and board reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in credit risk management within fintech, banking, or digital lending.
• Proven expertise in developing credit scoring models, policy frameworks, and risk infrastructure at scale.
• Strong knowledge of consumer and SME credit products, digital onboarding, and alternative credit data.
• Deep understanding of regulatory standards in credit/lending (e.g., MAS, FCA, RBI, etc.).
• Leadership experience with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
