Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a Software Engineer to work in Bristol or Slough with a salary ranging from £40,000 to £45,000. This position involves assisting in project costing, producing risk assessments, and configuring control systems. Ideal candidates should hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, and have practical qualifications. A mix of office and remote work is expected post-induction. The role includes working on PLC software and supporting clients in the pharmaceutical and food processing sectors.

- Ideally hold an Electrical Engineering degree/HND/HNC or equivalent experience.
- Good practical electrical qualifications (apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3) are ideal.
- Experience in the use of PLC Software Development (Allen Bradley / Siemens) is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Assist in costing projects in terms of materials and labour.
- Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for projects.
- Write detailed Functional Design Specifications (FDS) from User Requirements Specifications (URS).
- Configure control system architecture and network connections.
