Job summary
A leading aerospace company in Greater London is looking for an experienced engineer to design and develop guidance and navigation systems for aircraft. The ideal candidate will have a minimum degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, with at least 4 years of experience in system modelling, and proficiency in C/C++. Familiarity with tools like MATLAB/Simulink is essential, along with knowledge of various sensors and digital signal processing techniques. Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in system modelling and control, analysis, and simulation in aircraft applications.
- Proficient in C/C++ programming language.
- Knowledge of inertial and other types of sensors for navigation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and modify guidance, navigation, and flight control systems.
- Analyze flight data to verify performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Select, test, evaluate, and integrate new sensors or navigation systems.

- In charge of designing, developing and modify guidance, navigation, and flight control systems and algorithms for company aircraft systems.
- Responsible in analyzing flight data to verify flight performance and to help to troubleshoot issues that are found during the flights of company drone systems.
- In charge of selecting, testing, evaluating and integrating new sensors or navigation systems onto the company drone systems
- In charge of the generating documentation on the specifications, design, test procedures and test results of the GNC systems and algorithms that were developed.
- Responsible in developing and modifying 6-DOF and hardware-in-the-loop in simulation environments.
- In charge of supporting ground and flight test activities
- Responsible in participating in design and code reviews.
- Working with the cross function departments
- Minimum Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Aerospace/ Mechatronics Engineering or relevant
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in system modelling and control, analysis, and simulation in aircraft applications. and developing model-based design and analyses using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Proficient in C/C++ programming language and software and development tools such as Linux, ROS and Git.
- Knowledge in inertial and other type of sensors for navigation
- Knowledge in Kalman filtering, digital signal processing and sensor data fusion.
