AV Technical Project Manager
£32,000 - £45,000 per annum
Reading (preferably 2 days a week when located nearer otherwise remote in the midlands)

The Technical Project Manager will be the technical figurehead within the company, specifically relating to the delivery of Audio Visual projects.

The Company

Our client is a leading UK AV and UC integrator based in Reading, Berkshire. Their incredible team of design consultants, engineers, AV project managers, programmers, and technicians are constantly working to provide clients across the UK with the best audio-visual solutions.

The Role

Manage key projects with an administrative team to a high standard, ensuring excellent customer service, quality on-site delivery, and protection of margins. The candidate will manage larger projects, with an estimate of around 35 projects per month, several of which are over £100k. They will also provide technical support to project and service coordinators where applicable and be involved in all handovers with the sales team and initial customer call setups, prior to handing over to the coordination team for installation.

• Oversee the admin team working on project delivery and provide support for the service contract coordinator where required.
• Manage drawings, elevations, cable schedules, RAMS, project meetings, and scheduling.
• Manage all engineers, both in-house and external, ensuring appropriate insurances, vehicles, and PPE are provided when required.
• Demonstrate an understanding of all company products, services, and business processes, with a high level of technical knowledge to deliver solutions accurately.
• Work with the sales team on a pre-sales basis for site visits and drawings.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Manage margins and budgets of each project.
• Ensure quality of equipment, cables, quotes, and engineers adhere to company standards.
• Organise and deliver all projects alongside the administrators to the company standard.
• Provide technical specifications for all jobs, including cable schedules and drawings where required.
• Keep all R&M and training up to date.
• Demonstrate pro-active behaviour in driving repeat business through quality work and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a high technical understanding of all company products and services.
• Attend supplier and vendor training sessions to stay updated on all technology and products.
• Become certified on supplier/manufacturer accreditations to enhance the company's standing within that supplier/manufacturer.
• Identify gaps in knowledge and work with management teams to address these gaps.
