We are looking for someone to join our team to play a key role in the collection and management of S106 financial and non-financial obligations. This is a role which will make a significant contribution to the sustainability, regeneration, health, and well-being of the County which collects significant sums each year to contribute to a wide range of infrastructure projects.
You will be working with colleagues at all levels across different departments of the Council as well as housebuilders across the County, so attention to detail and a friendly, approachable nature is a must.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced officer with ambition and passion for supporting the delivery of crucial infrastructure to join our Planning team. You will be working with stakeholders across the County Council, Leicestershire District Councils, and beyond, who are all involved in the calculation, negotiation, security, and collection of financial and non-financial contributions from developers.
Your role will be to support the current Planning Obligations Team in securing developer contributions, and contributing to growth across Leicestershire, including shaping how developer contributions are collected in the future.
On a day-to-day basis you will manage a case load of consultations from Local Planning Authorities, tracking the consultation through from receipt, response, monitoring the decision, being involved in the drafting and negotiation of subsequent legal agreements, and monitoring the progress of the resulting development site which will include collecting money in accordance with the terms of those legal agreements. There are also opportunities to tie in with other departments across the County Council, including Ecology, Planning, and Highways.
