Maintenance Engineer, Bedford, Monday – Friday, 3 Tier 8 hour shifts

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge? Look no further! A leading FMCG company in Bedford is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to carry out maintenance activities across a food and beverage production facility.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for managing all maintenance activities, including preventative and breakdown maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. You will play a key role in optimizing PPM schedules, improving equipment uptime, troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns, and coordinating with production teams to minimise downtime during maintenance. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement maintenance improvement projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience as a maintenance engineer ideally within an FMCG environment, with a strong electro-mechanical bias and the ability to fault find on production machinery. An excellent understanding of hydraulics and pneumatic, as well as the ability to read technical drawings and schematics, is desirable. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.
