Job Introduction
Come and join our very friendly Dietetic team in beautiful Wiltshire… A great opportunity has arisen for a full time (37.5hrs/week) newly qualified or experienced Dietitian to join our team of 26 Dietitians and support staff. This position is in the Adult Community Dietetic Team which manages a varied caseload, with strong clinical supervision, and opportunity for involvement in projects. We also have specialities such as paediatrics, diabetes, home enteral feeding and neurology within our department, providing opportunity to gain insight in a variety of clinical areas.
We work from 2 main office bases, one in the north (Chippenham) and one in the south (Salisbury/Wilton) of the county, as well as easy access to desk spaces in other locations around the county. We have excellent administrative support and regular CPD opportunities. This Band 5 Community Dietitian post will provide clinical support to adult patients in outpatient clinics (face to face, Airmid - virtual, and telephone), inpatient community hospital wards, and care home settings across Wiltshire. The post may also include group education sessions and home visits. Our outpatient clinics provide exposure to a wide variety of clinical areas including coeliac disease, IBS, IBD, pancreatic enzyme therapy, type 2 diabetes and nutrition support. Wiltshire has four community hospital wards including Stroke Rehab which are covered by 2 band 5 dietitians in the team.
Newly qualified staff will benefit from participating in a preceptorship programme to support your development. We actively participate in student training taking students from Plymouth and Winchester Universities, with a reputation for being a friendly and inclusive department.
