PA required in Barford NR9 Saturday mornings - 1.45 hrs per week @ £14 p/h - Norwich - NR9
Job Purpose:
I am an active minded man recovering from a stroke that I had 11 years ago. Due to this, I am wheelchair dependent but can walk a few yards with a walking stick. I am looking for another Personal Assistant to join my small care team which currently includes my wife and family who help me 24/7, and two other PAs who cover my morning personal care. You would be supporting me by driving my Wheelchair Accessible vehicle and assisting me with morning personal care on Saturday mornings by helping me to get dressed. You would also need to be willing and able to share in the cover of other team member absences, planned ahead with the team, as and when necessary.
You will need to be a sociable person, although I get tired easily and like to be alone at times. I enjoy sharing ideas and reading. Due to the brain injury, my cognitive abilities sometimes make it difficult for me to understand, so you will need to speak clearly and check that I can understand.
Location: Barford, NR9, on bus route Konnect 3.
Details:
- Personal care as needed, including changing clothes, showering, and toileting.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Clean driving license.
- Able to drive a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle.
- Flexible team player.
- Sociable person with excellent communication skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic.
Desirable:
- Experience of transporting wheelchair users or willingness to undertake training.
Summary Terms and Conditions:
- The rate of pay for this position is £14.00 per hour.
- Hours and times of work: at least 1.45 hours per week, Saturday mornings 9.45-11.30 (negotiable at interview). Also covering for other PA absences as and when needed. This would be advised ahead of time and would only be occasionally.
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.
- This position requires the employee to complete the following free annual training: GDPR, Health and Safety, First Aid, Moving and Handling, Food Hygiene, Infection Control, and Personal Care.
Post is subject to the following:

- Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
