You will provide Executive Assistant support for the Dean of Academic Development and Success (Directorate of Academic Development and Success) and the Dean of Students (Student Journey Directorate).
Full-Time, 37 hours per week
Location – City campus, travel between campuses may be required
The Directorate of Academic Development and Success is responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing institutional frameworks, standards and policies for all aspects of the University’s taught portfolio. The Directorate provides support for students and members of staff relating to academic skills development, work-related, online and lifelong learning, and leads on the University’s Access and Participation Plan (APP). A key focus of the Directorate is ensuring the University has a high-quality and sustainable educational portfolio, which delivers excellent student outcomes and is aligned to the University curriculum framework. It has overall responsibility for ensuring all teaching-related activities (UK and international) deliver against the University’s KPIs and regulatory compliance.
The Student Journey Directorate aims to provide a seamless and proactive student journey that leverages innovation and collaborative working to deliver an excellent student journey and associated outcomes. The main areas of focus are: Student Life; Registry Services; Engagement and Participation; and Student Success.
You will be a proactive individual, able to work without supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative, tact and confidentiality together with high levels of communication skills and literacy. You will be educated to A-level standard or equivalent and be required to demonstrate significant evidence of experience as a Personal Assistant / Executive Assistant at a senior management level and servicing high-level committees. You will be capable of working under pressure and to pre-set deadlines.
You will report to the Head of Operations (ADS), providing Executive Assistant support to the Dean of Academic Development and Success and the Dean of Students, and will be required to deal with matters of a confidential nature, liaising with senior staff. Teamwork and flexibility are paramount. Evening working and travel between campuses may be required.
