The Learning Resource Coordinator works closely with students, faculty, and families to provide individualized academic support for students with learning differences. The coordinator leads the development and implementation of strategies tailored to each student's unique learning profile and partners with colleagues to ensure academic accommodations are effectively integrated into the classroom. This role requires a deep understanding of how children learn and the ability to navigate a range of learning challenges with expertise and empathy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting neurodiverse learners, experience developing individualized learning plans, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write individualized learning plans and progress reports for supported students.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to support students' academic goals, as indicated by educational or psychological evaluations.
  • Work with faculty to implement accommodations and differentiate instruction in the classroom.
  • Stay current on best practices for supporting students with learning differences and integrate new strategies into the learning resource program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, special education, or a related field.
  • Experience in special education or learning support, preferably in a school setting.
  • Deep knowledge of learning differences and demonstrated success supporting students with language-based learning disorders, Dyscalculia, and challenges related to executive functioning, attention, memory, and processing speed.
  • Training in structured, multisensory literacy instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham or Wilson Reading) is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of child development, instructional strategies, and data-informed teaching.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

Interested candidates should upload a cover letter, resume, three professional references, an unofficial copy of transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate degrees, and, if applicable, teacher certifications.
