Regional Security Director
Regional Security Director reports directly to Chief Security Officer.
Purpose of the Job
“The protection of Alstom employees, sites, assets, projects in progress, as well as sensitive information, represents nowadays a necessity for our company development.”
- Security encompasses all active and passive measures allowing Alstom to guard itself against, and react to, any kind of intentional malicious action, both in material and immaterial fields;
- The Region Security Director is in charge of overseeing security policies, procedures and operations for Alstom business in region. He/she contributes to the performance and value creation of the Region by guaranteeing the protection of Alstom people, assets, sites, projects and sensitive information and by implementing crisis management processes;
- He/she reports to the Chief Security Officer;
- He/she is responsible for:

- Developing and implementing security measures to ensure a secure environment for Alstom people, assets, sites, projects and activities,
- Implementing measures to ensure economic security and to protect Alstom sensitive information within his / her area of responsibility,
- Rolling out crisis management processes and a dedicated organization in this area.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and adapt the group security policies at a regional level;
- Manage and update as needed the security network within the region;
- Ensure compliance of regional security initiatives with Group security policies;
- Anticipate threats and assess security risks through the Region;
- Follow up the political, economic and security situation in the area, in order to assist the Region President and Cluster/Country Managing Directors in their assessments of security situations;
- Provide advice and recommendations to Europe President and Cluster/Country managing directors on security issues and ensure coordination with all security stakeholders (external and internal);
- Serve as liaison for security related topics with French embassies and consulates throughout the region;
- Keep an updated network within the security and administrative local authorities in order to:
- Be able to collect and share information,
- Be able to negotiate with them the right level of contribution and help they could provide Alstom with for the sake of Alstom employees/subcontractors, depending on the security issues the company could face in their respective area of responsibility.
- Implement and update the relevant security organizations and measures for the different projects and countries within the region,
- Participate in the Bid and Tender preparation process within the region. In this framework, contribute to the definition (risk analysis) and the cost estimate of the security aspects of the region projects in coordination with Bid managers, Tendering Teams and Projects heads,
- Deploy security directives and control the effectiveness of their implementation within the Region,
- Manage the drafting, implementation and updating of the different country / site security plans and all the needed security documentation,
- Draft and implement region crisis management procedures according to the group crisis management policy,
- Act as the Region Emergency Response Group Coordinator when activated,
- Manage security crisis and serious incidents at Region level,
- Coordinate the security of all Alstom events in Region. Make sure all the adequate measures are taken beforehand to prevent any major incidents,
- In coordination with the relevant stakeholders (IS Security…), implement measures, processes and organization to ensure protection of Alstom sensitive information within Europe.
- Define and organize Security awareness actions for the region.
Required Competencies - Experience - Mandatory
- Master’s degree in business, international relations, security or any geopolitical and security related topics;
- Languages: Fluent in French and English (Other European language welcome);
- Previous experience in the military, law enforcement, international security or information security is mandatory;
- Experience in organizing and managing staff/teamwork.
