SENIOR PYTHON ENGINEER

Location: Full remote in Spain

Salary: Up to 78K

Responsibilities:

1. Designing, developing and enhancing complex backend systems, including security features like API security enhancements, robust authorization implementations, strong input validation, etc.
2. Integrating dynamic secret retrieval mechanisms into applications, focusing on secret rotation and security best practices.
3. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure systems.
4. Reviewing and remediating security issues found by security tools on the code to reduce the exposed risk of our applications.

Requirements:

1. Proven and extensive experience as a backend developer with a focus on Python and Go.
2. Proven experience building complex systems and implementing secure coding practices.
3. Experience working in microservices architectures and distributed systems.
4. Great understanding of API design, scalability, and system performance optimization.
5. Knowledge of security concepts, including secure application development/S-SDLC (Secure Development Lifecycle).
6. Experience working with containerized environments and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
7. Exposure to DevSecOps practices and security-focused development workflows.
8. Cloud experience (GCP or other platforms) and IaC knowledge (e.g., Terraform).
