An independent organization of creative thinkers and innovative doers collaborating from offices worldwide, our mission is to bring our clients' ideas to life and, in the process, lay the groundwork for a better, more resilient future. We provide support and opportunities to our employees to achieve their full potential and cultivate a rewarding career.
The Role:
The Thornton Tomasetti Acoustics, Noise and Vibration team delivers projects controlling noise and vibration that can be critical to the success of a building.
Perfecting the acoustics in a concert hall, making it easier for students to concentrate in class, limiting uncomfortable sway in tall buildings, protecting industrial workers from hearing loss, keeping sensitive medical imaging equipment steady, complying with national or local regulations, and preventing construction activity from damaging nearby structures are all areas where we have expertise, and the team is growing.
The goal of an acoustics engineer is to maximize occupant safety and comfort in all types of structures – new and old – and tune listening spaces for optimal acoustics.
You’ll be part of a local team of industry-leading specialists delivering projects globally. The role will require managing multiple projects, with direct interaction with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors. You’ll also be responsible for revenue generation with project pursuits including developing proposals and client presentations, while managing and developing a team of engineers.
