Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)

Duration: Until October 31, 2025 (Possibility for an extension, or conversion to full time employee)

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto is looking for a Product Owner - Data Management to support data governance activities onboarded through DRAP as well as support data quality issue management activities across the enterprise. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

• Support Data Quality and Issue Management (DQIM) activities and Data Governance processes with a high level of customer satisfaction
• Support user access management to Enterprise DQIM applications and Enterprise Dashboards and perform data analysis activities to support Data Quality efforts across the Enterprise
• Support all levels of reporting and dashboards via PowerBI and Tableau
• Perform data analysis and communicate results in support of data quality processes
• Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business units and identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team
• Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; and recommending actions
• Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Assess, research, analyze, and document project needs and outcomes by selecting the appropriate information gathering and/or modeling technique to elicit requirements

• 5 to 7 years of experience working as a Product Owner
• 5 to 7 years of experience with re-engineering business processes and building process frameworks
• 5 to 7 years of experience collecting business requirements, managing the relationship with stakeholders and feeding business requirements to technical teams
• 5 to 7 years of experience effectively collaborating with partners and stakeholders on data quality initiatives (Technology, Visualization, Data Stewards, and governance groups)
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, Jira and Confluence

• Experience in the Financial Industry within data quality and data governance programs
• Master's degree is a plus

• University degree in Mathematics, Business, Engineering, Management, or relevant field
