THE POSITION
Keyera is currently seeking Plant Operators to support our Gold Creek Compressor Station.
This position offers the flexibility of either a 7 days on / 7 days off OR 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation (You will rotate between day and night shift).
This is NOT a camp role, and the facility is located 30 minutes south of Grande Prairie. The role is ideal for local candidates, or candidates open to relocation. (relocation assistance will be considered on a case-by-case basis for the selected candidate).
This role is currently eligible for Keyera’s Northern Allowance, a tiered incentive plan based on years of service in Keyera’s northern locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with daily operations of the Gold Creek Compressor Station.
Responsible for daily operating assignments on plant equipment and processes.
Operate the facility in a safe, economical, and efficient manner using quality principles.
Work with team on preventative maintenance and ensure equipment is running efficiently and safely.
Monitor facility readings, product sampling and quality control.
Support the maintenance team as required.
Running heavy Equipment such as Skid Steer and AWP (training provided).
Assist with contractor orientation and supervision for onsite operations.
Participate in review, modification, or development of facility procedures.
Support engineering and maintenance teams with various projects.
Support Operational Excellence and Asset Management Reliability initiatives.
Seek improvements and develop plans to remedy process upsets and reliability challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a similar role within gas plant and/or compressor site operations (experience with dehydration, refrigeration, chemical pumps, centrifugal pumps, and 3 stage separation is an asset).
Power Engineering/Fired Process Heater Operator certification would be considered an asset.

Highly organized, reliable individual with attention to detail.
Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG and First Aid Certificates would be an asset.
A valid driver’s license and ability to provide 5-year standard driver abstract (clean driver’s abstract).
This role requires the candidate to wear respiratory protective equipment. As per Alberta OHS 250(2), the candidate must ensure an adequate seal where the face piece of the equipment seals to the skin of the face.
