The SVP, Construction, will oversee a portfolio of purpose-built rental residential and mixed-use projects. The SVP will report to the Executive VP, Construction and Capital Expenditures. Leading a team of construction professionals with offices located in Toronto, Vancouver, and Victoria, the SVP will have direct involvement in conceptualization through all stages of project delivery. The role will include oversight of all aspects of construction activity including design, pre-construction, estimating, tendering, construction contract negotiations, construction planning, evaluating construction means and methods, forecasting monitoring financial performance, building and suite delivery, and project close-out.

The successful individual will have earned a University Degree, preferably in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management or related field, with a minimum of 20 years of industry experience in senior leadership roles with a focus on multi-unit and high-rise residential construction at both a strategic and hands-on level. This individual will have completed multiple full construction cycles in an urban, multi-phased, residential and mixed-use project settings. The successful candidate will provide thoughtful and strong leadership with the ability to develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, professional environment. The SVP must possess a proven ability to build relationships, collaborate and communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally with third parties and Partners and have excellent organizational planning skills—ability to effectively manage multiple competing business priorities simultaneously.
