Band and Choir Teacher

Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community in Wayzata is seeking a highly skilled Band and Choir Teacher. Along with the school music teacher, this teacher will help plan and direct school concerts, and teach general music classes as assigned. This full-time position will guide and challenge students in subject matter and skills in a manner consistent to our Holy Name of Jesus School and Parish Mission Statements. This is a full time, 10-month position with benefits. Candidates seeking a part-time position are also invited to inquire.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a Minnesota certification. Teachers must hold licensure in their area. A copy must be filed in the school office.
• All teachers are required to have the required number of renewal credits per five-year teaching period for certificate renewal as state law mandates. All teaching certificates must be current.
• Teachers are expected to provide any other information/requirements necessary to renew certificates.
• Able to pass a required background check and complete required initial training.
• This position requires that the employee to be Catholic.
