We are seeking an Azure Solution Architect to develop, implement and modernize our clients Azure landing zone.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Architecture & Design: Develop and implement scalable Azure architectures with a focus on modernizing VMware workloads and ensuring robust, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments.
- Landing Zone Design & Build: Design and deploy Azure landing zones following best practices to support secure, multi-account environments, ensuring compliance, security, and optimal account management.
- VMware Modernization: Lead initiatives to modernize on-premises VMware environments by leveraging Azure VMware Solution (AVS) or Azure Native VMs.
- Cloud Migration: Oversee end-to-end cloud migration projects, including workload assessments, dependency mapping, migration strategy, and execution. Leverage Azure Migrate and other tools to ensure smooth transitions.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure that all designs and implementations comply with Azure best practices, security policies, and relevant industry standards.
- Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Use IaC tools, such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, and Terraform, to automate deployment and management processes.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, and scalability following Azure best practices and governance frameworks.
- Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, operational procedures, and best practices.
- Work closely with customer and internal teams to gather business and technical requirements.
- Develop a point of view, capture, prioritize and analyze technical (functional and non-functional) requirements.
- Review client’s current state architecture documentation, initial inventory data pertaining to the source environment (e.g. compute/storage capacity, network migration pipelines related to infrastructure in scope of migration).
- Provide architectural and remote deployment requirements for infrastructure discovery tools and scripts; configure and deploy discovery tools/scripts and initiate data collection.
- Validate baseline environment and confirm it’s accurate and meets Client’s requirements and technical specifications.
- Define infrastructure discovery data model to deliver the solution.
- Create the required artifacts (design document, diagrams, run book, ASD, HLD, LLD, etc).
- Design the Migration Plan solution.
- Ensure successful delivery of highly complex, multi-disciplined consulting engagements that deliver lasting and measurable value to clients.
- Apply Architectural Methods and Techniques.
- Manage the technical architectural contract terms and conditions.
- Educate, mentor and coach teams in applying architectural techniques.
- Successfully lead Customer’s migration and transformation projects.
Outcomes:
- Provided professional services (Design, Deployment, Troubleshooting, Assessment).
- Provided professional services to reinforce client's security governance, and to improve and manage the client's cybersecurity exposure.
- Implementation of clients' technical strategy. Designed and implemented a compliant design and infrastructure solution meeting delivery criteria.
- Increasing the quality, quantity and frequency of client conversations and engagements for project and implementation services opportunities.
- Increase the awareness, applicability and value of consulting services with our clients, sales force and delivery organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Technology Experience:
- Prior experience of at least 2-3 years as Enterprise IT architect, and should have involved in Application/Data center migration programs.
- Server Platforms (Windows, Linux, or UNIX).
- Virtualization Infrastructures (Hyper-V, VMWare, etc.).
- Azure Cloud Infrastructures.
- Applied Azure infrastructure engineering and designing skills.
- Applied Azure migration solutions.
- Understanding of up-to-date Network architecture concepts and system integration principles including high-end routers / switches, Network & Security, Network Virtualization, Cloud Network Deployments, and other related infrastructure and system components.
- Good understanding of middleware, networking, application architecture, shared services and other components of n-tier applications.
Education Requirements:
- Must have: Azure Certifications, VMware Certifications.
- Nice to have: University Bachelor’s Degree.
Nice to have:
- Database Engines (Oracle, MS SQL Server, Maria, MySQL, etc.).
- SAP Migrations.
- Storage (IBM/EMC/HP/Hitachi/NetApp).
