Job Title: Senior Graphic Designer (Contract)

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Graphic Designer to create and manage digital and print designs, develop storyboards, design animation assets and animate videos for our marketing needs. We are looking for someone who is a designer first, animator second, with a keen eye for typography and layout with a creative flair and ability to challenge the status quo. The responsibilities include managing all graphic/motion graphics design tasks, refining projects and drafts, and generating creative ideas.

To be successful as our next Senior Graphic Designer, you should have extensive knowledge of graphic design styles and techniques, a great understanding of animation principles and a creative approach to problem-solving. You should also have experience designing for marketing campaigns and general knowledge about marketing best practices. Ultimately, our next Senior Graphic Designer will ensure that the Creative Services team promotes the vision of the company through the production of high-quality content.

The candidate should demonstrate a high level of proficiency in design, animation and multimedia software and design applications. It is expected that knowledge of printing procedures, illustration and strong verbal and written communication is demonstrated. This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing, dynamic team!

What You’ll Do

• Designing new and edit existing graphic content, illustrations, and info-graphics
• Managing graphic designs from conception to delivery
• Generating fresh concepts
• Ensuring our established branding is consistent throughout various marketing projects
• Work with the creative teams to grow SOTI’s capabilities for creating digital content using interactive applications, animation and videos including redesigning/re-purposing print media for use in a digital environment
• Conceptualize and develop 2D animated graphics for corporate videos, presentations, animation, digital signage, and immersive spaces
• Work closely with the in-house video team to design, produce and incorporate motion graphics for in house video production
• Produce motion graphics designs for show openers, titles, graphics, backgrounds and animations for video
• Continuously enhance design skills, knowledge of design industry trends, and remain current with technological advancements within the creative industry
• Have a passion for telling stories through motion, including story boarding, editing footage, and motion graphics/animation.
• Consistently drive and contribute to the overall creative acumen and growth of the creative team
• Must be adept at juggling multiple deadlines, time management for themselves and others and working independently
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully under pressure and consider revisions from internal stakeholders/clients with the goal of creating an effective end product
• Must be able to complete assignments with minimal supervision before set deadlines, while at the same time keeping the team leadership fully informed of all project developments from stakeholders
• Keeping assigned tasks updated via Asana (our project management tool)
• Collaborating and maintaining partner relationships
• Other tasks as required

Experience You’ll Bring

• Graphic Design Diploma or Degree
• Outstanding graphic design portfolio with exceptional graphic motion and editing ability
• Passion for creating breakthrough visual and creative campaign
• Strong understanding of design principles, layout, typography and colour theory
• Expert with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop & illustrator
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Premiere
• Knowledge and awareness of current design trends and the ability to work within brand guidelines
• Excellent presentation skills and willingness to lean in and receive constructive feedback
• 5+ years of consistent experience working in design, motion graphics, editing and production.
• Ability to meet deadlines and successfully collaborate within the multi-functional and global team
