Terms of employment- This job is for a full-time position (32-40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start date is March 1, 2025
Salary: Wage offered is between $17 and $19 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the First Quartile wage rate change for this field of work in Quebec.
Language required- English or French.
Location- ArPr + AlGe… lives in Westmount, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The city bus is easily accessible and is close by (bus # 124). The major intersection is Victoria and The Boulevard
Duties may include:
1- This job is to help with the care of four children – twins aged 10 years old, an 8 year old and 5 year old. One child has severe chronic medical condition and has special needs.
2- Supervision of children when parents are not at home
3- Bathe and help to dress the youngest child
5- Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise
6- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
7- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
8- Plan, prepare and serve meals for children. Kitchen clean-up is also required
9- General housework that will include doing laundry and some ironing.
10- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment
Qualifications:
1- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
2- Must have at least one year of work related experience as a caregiver.
3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
4- Experience with children with special needs is an asset
