As a Product Owner within the Technology and Product Management Team, you will join a tightly knit and high performing group of industry veterans shepherding complex and highly integrated products to market.

As a Product Owner, you become the product expert and will assist with driving the development of our touch screen and user interface hardware products and accessories, related firmware and software applications, as well as partner integrations. Working hand in hand with project management, the hardware, and software engineering teams and QE, you will play a significant role in product planning, writing and implementing product requirements, championing the product through the development life cycle, and will continue through supporting sales and marketing efforts during the new product rollout. You will participate in daily standups and help to clarify and evolve product requirements and user stories, triage and prioritize bugs and work to navigate project risks to meet project schedules and deliver products that exceed customers’ expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as product solutions expert
• Assist with competitive analysis, proof-of-concepts, early-access programs, research/feasibility studies, and solutions development.
• Provide insight and expertise to groom the backlog, define epics and user stories for agile software development.
• Manage technical issues escalated to engineering. Work to clarify the impact and prioritization, identifying potential solutions and mitigations, and assist with managing the impact to customers and the business.
• Work with production and quality engineering to improve test plans.
• Present the software, hardware, and integrated solutions virtually or in-person (as required).
• Participate in industry tradeshows and other key market events.
• Work with cross-functional departments such as marketing, training, support, production, sales, etc. to ensure the product is a success.
• Keep abreast of competitive landscape and technology trends.
• Use industry knowledge in conjunction with competitive research to help the product management team craft tomorrow's product roadmap.

Technical Expertise:

• Strong understanding of Android OS, APK development, and device APIs.
• Broad understanding of Ethernet networking technologies and protocols as they pertain to residential and commercial AV systems integration.
• Familiarity with streaming media technologies and tools (VLC, EXOPlayer, H.264/265, AES67, Dante, NDI).
• Proficiency with, and knowledge of, unified communications solutions from major providers such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco WebEx, etc.
• Proficiency with, and knowledge of, enterprise technologies including wireless collaboration and presentation, digital signage, and related software, management tools, and services.
• Experience in HTML5 and other UI/UX tools.

Experience & Education:

• 3+ years experience in a technical role (product engineering, product management, support, etc.) in the AV or commercial broadcast industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or Engineering preferred but not required.
• Experience in managing complex projects from ideation through launch.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and customer support.
• Solving skills and ability to analyze market trends and customer feedback.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead team meetings, set expectations, and hold people accountable for delivering the expected product.
• Familiarity with agile development processes and tools.
  • Certification in Agile Development (Scaled Agile, CSM, etc.) is preferred but not required.
• Capacity to constantly learn new software and hardware technologies and an ability to quickly put that learning into practice in support of highly visible real-world projects. Be able to research and become an expert on new technologies relevant to the product line.
• Demonstrates visible company spirit and an ability to quickly gain the trust of key stakeholders, end-users, and co-workers alike.
• Ability to be hands-on and travel occasionally to tradeshows as well as job sites to see how our products are getting installed/applied and be able to translate that experience into a better product.
