Responsibilities- Transcription of medical dictation and associated processes
- Processing corrections as necessary
- Providing productivity statistics as required
Qualifications- Medical Transcription Certificate or equivalent required
- Minimum of three (3) years’ medical transcription experience required, with experience in transcribing at least (3) three specialties for over one year for each
- Preference will be given to candidates with hospital transcription experience
- Proficient typing skills with a minimum of 65 words per minute
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with frequent distractions
- Familiarity with digital dictation systems, word processing software (Microsoft Word, etc.) and other relevant computer applications is considered an asset
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and work independently is essential
- Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and performance required
