The First Nations University of Canada is a federated college of the University of Regina, and its academic programs are accredited through that institution.
Under the direction of the Director of Autonomy, the Research and Policy Writer will work with Indigenous Knowledge Keepers, Elders, and Senior Indigenous Strategist to coordinate research related to the creation story of FNUniv and the historical vision contributing to a strategic guiding document that embodies traditional Indigenous ways of being, knowing, and doing to support academic independence. This position is responsible for research, documentation, analysis, and development of written policies and procedures that will support a comprehensive organizational framework and roadmap for autonomous academic systems.

Qualifications:
Applicants must have an undergraduate degree; minimum of three (3) years related experience, preferably in a university environment. Familiarity and knowledge of First Nations cultural protocols and traditions is essential. Experience working with diverse groups of organizations and peoples, particularly Elders, students, faculty, and First Nations communities and organizations. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Salary Range: APT Grade 4 position ($61,265 – 82,416)
