1-800-GOT-JUNK? is looking for a talented Video Editor to join our dynamic and fast-paced creative team. As a Video Editor, you will work closely with our Filmmaker and other team members to deliver high-quality, engaging content that captivates audiences. The ideal candidate is flexible, thrives under pressure, and possesses a strong storytelling ability to craft compelling narratives using available assets. A deep understanding of digital platforms, especially YouTube, and strategies to make videos more attention-grabbing is essential. Creativity and fresh ideas are highly valued.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Video editing: Craft engaging stories from scripts, outlines, or raw footage.
• Colour correction and/or rotoscoping.
• Sound editing: Edit sound to enhance the overall quality of videos.
• Ensure all work adheres to brand guidelines and platform-specific guidelines, including YouTube’s best practices with on-time delivery.
• Participate in team brainstorming sessions for both campaign and social strategy ideas.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• Proven experience as a Video Editor in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong storytelling skills with the ability to transform raw assets into compelling narratives.
• Proficiency in video editing software (After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
• Knowledge of sound editing tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with YouTube trends, platform rules, and video optimization strategies.
• Creative mindset with an ability to generate innovative ideas.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Salary $55,000 - $65,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
