We have an exciting opportunity for you as an Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our enthusiastic pre-opening team at Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina.

As an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you are primarily responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction, energy conservation, fire life safety, operation and maintenance of plants and equipment, preventive maintenance schedules, engineering maintenance requests, and new work orders are performed and correctly recorded.

• Ensure each section of the Engineering is managed effectively, maximizing productivity and quality of work.
• Assist Chief Engineer on all aspects of engineering, environmental controls, and the operational efficiency of the property.
• Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations and fire codes by regularly reviewing policies and safety procedures. Ensure that any tests and inspections required on plant by statutory authorities and as per IHG Standards are carried out as and when required, and that all records and documentation associated with such tests and surveys are correctly kept and/or displayed.
• Ensure the effective operation of all mechanical and electrical systems and equipment by implementing and managing a preventative maintenance program. Closely monitor the condition of the physical property and equipment by conducting continual inspections of the building. Ensure that preventative maintenance schedules are in operation and regularly upgraded.
• Plan and implement a preventive maintenance program to achieve “zero” defects for all equipment in the hotel.
• Ensure that plant and equipment are correctly operated to suit the needs of the hotel.
• Coordinate and assist management of the hotel on internal campaigns and activities of the energy conservation program.
• Coordinate and participate in the environmental and sustainable program/activities as prescribed by the environmental committee and provide a monthly work plan to Chief Engineer for approval.

The ideal candidate must be a qualified engineer with 5 years of progressive work-related experience in the same role in a 5* city hotel in Dubai. Strong capabilities in planning & organizing, detail-oriented, and the ability to work under pressure of deadlines and ever-shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential. Must promote and ensure good inter-departmental relations. Also must be a team player, have strong interpersonal skills, and work well independently as well as part of a team, with a flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
