Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Manager

Job Description:

• Ensure all comprehensive maintenance practices are fully implemented, monitored and evaluated.
• Ensure establishment of comprehensive technical network for execution, monitoring and reporting of maintenance best practices.
• Ensure preparation, implementation and monitoring of preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all maintenance contracts and corresponding budgets are fully complied with, monitored and forecasted.
• Continuous and up to date liaison with contracting agencies and internal departments to monitor performance, quality and compliance.
• Supervise out of scope repair, maintenance and modification work.
• Proactively assist the fleet department in ensuring round the clock fleet availability.
• Manage KPIs as laid down SLAs for contracting agencies.
• Oversee performance of all fleet related technical projects initiated as per operational and business requirements.
• Point out cases of neglect, misuse or accidents on a proactive basis, and present solutions/penalties for eradication.
• Conflict management at vendor and operational level.
• Support fleet operations through teamwork, a proactive and service-oriented approach.
• Promote culture of responsibility, accountability through processes, procedures and related matrices.
• Ensure teamwork, and designation of jobs to team and monitor employee/technician performance as per standard repair times.
• Ensure efficacy and management of different teams, through regular project visits, inspections and personal liaison.
• Maintain close vendor liaison for market analysis to keep the parts costs down.
• Ensure that maintenance workflow is monitored and is uninterrupted. Forecast impending challenges and work with concerned manager to achieve timely resolution.
• Arrange and support training of drivers and technical staff on a regular basis.
• Propose test equipment, tools and facilities that help reduce total cost of ownership.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance histories are updated and accessible for analysis at any point in time.
• Proper implementation and monitoring of ERP in workshop.
• Continuous improvements and improvisation of maintenance processes to suit day to day requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile:

The job incumbent is responsible for monitoring and implementing industry best practices for fleet maintenance, including comprehensive maintenance, technical repair/modifications works and efficient management and monitoring of in-house and outsourced maintenance practices and staff.
