Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to accurately price fitout projects based on the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and provide official quotations in compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the fitout industry, be able to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and ensure precise and competitive pricing for all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review project documentation, including BOQs, drawings, and specifications to understand the scope of work.
2. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for fitout services, including materials, labor, and overheads.
3. Assess client requirements and provide competitive pricing, ensuring alignment with company standards and profitability.
4. Issue official quotations to clients based on thorough analysis and in compliance with company policies.
5. Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather accurate pricing information and update cost estimates as needed.
6. Track and monitor changes in project scope, ensuring pricing reflects any updates or modifications.
7. Work closely with logistics officer, project managers, designers, and clients to ensure that all technical details are accounted for in the estimates.
8. Make sure the purchased materials comply with the prices mentioned in the prepared quotations.
9. Analyze market trends and supplier prices to maintain competitiveness in pricing and cost efficiency.
10. Ensure that all estimates and quotations are submitted within agreed timelines and meet the company’s compliance and quality standards.
11. Maintain a comprehensive database of past estimates and quotations for future reference and comparison.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as an Estimator in the fitout, interior design, or construction industry.
2. Strong knowledge of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and its application to fitout projects.
3. Excellent understanding of the technicalities and cost breakdowns for fitout services (materials, labor, installation).
4. Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., ProEst, CostX, or similar tools) and Microsoft Excel.
5. Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in cost calculations.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
7. Strong communication skills to interact with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
8. Knowledge of industry pricing trends and standards.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
