What do you get to do in this position?
We are looking for a Project Specialist who wants to develop a strong and solid career in procurement and project management. The Project Specialist has the opportunity to grow with us and become a Project Manager, as well as to be certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
As a Project Specialist, you will lead through project management practices and tools the evolution of challenging cost reduction ideas, including (but not limited to) LTSCP (Long Term Supply Chain Planning) and COS (Change of Supplier) projects within the North American Strategic Projects Team.
The Project Specialist is responsible for establishing for each idea he/she is leading: project benefits, project expenses, total cost of ownership, ensuring technical project feasibility, and consolidating all this information into a formal business case.
The Project Specialist must be an excellent communicator at all levels within the project environment, as he/she will be responsible for presenting recurrently to Senior Managers, Directors, and VPs. He/she needs to be proactive, exhibit strong leadership, be a self-driven person, and be able to adapt to a dynamic and potentially geographically dispersed project environment. Additionally, he/she innovates and brings cost reduction ideas to the pipeline by participating, preparing, and sometimes leading Productivity Workshop Events within North America's Schneider Electric manufacturing facilities.
The Project Specialist gains a wide range of experience working on several products and commodities as the scope they manage encompasses all of North America's business.
