A leading eye care provider in the UK is seeking an HR Advisor in Bristol to enhance HR processes and support staff engagement. Responsibilities include managing recruitment and onboarding, providing HR support, and overseeing employee data. Ideal candidates will possess CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience and have strong HR advisory skills. Compensation ranges from £31,785 to £34,319, supplemented by holidays and a pension scheme. Join us to make a real difference in eye care across the UK.
We’re one of England’s top providers of NHS and private ophthalmology services, delivering outpatient care, diagnostic testing and advanced eye surgery to thousands of patients every year. With a growing network of specialist clinics across the UK we are on a mission to make world‑class eye care more accessible to everyone and are expanding rapidly.
We’re proud to be officially certified as a Great Place to Work based on independent feedback from our colleagues. This recognition reflects our commitment to creating an inclusive, collaborative and empowering workplace where people can thrive.
As the HR Advisor for Newmedica Bristol you will support the company to ensure that all people matters are dealt with and managed effectively and assist in the development of a diverse and engaged workforce.
You will be passionate about human resources and have experience delivering high‑quality processes across all aspects of the employee life‑cycle, including recruitment, employee relations, engagement and HR assurance. With the support of an HR Administrator you will manage all activity in relation to the HR lifecycle, offer support and coaching to line managers, and handle employee queries efficiently and with sensitivity.
You will be comfortable working without direct supervision whilst maintaining an efficient professional manner, and you will work closely with the Operational Director on key projects such as compensation activities, staff engagement surveys and the continuous review of local people requirements. You will build good relationships with the wider Newmedica HR team, working together to develop the HR offering and utilising their guidance as required.
This is more than just a job; it’s a chance to grow your career in a forward‑thinking, patient‑first organisation that values your voice and invests in your future. If you’re ready to make a real difference and help transform eye care across the UK, we’d love to hear from you.
This role closes on 8 March 2026; however we reserve the right to close the vacancy earlier if we receive a high volume of applications.
Please submit your CV and a cover letter (max 1 page) outlining your leadership philosophy and key achievements to the contact details below or via the advert on our careers page. Employment offers are subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and a Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary in the event of a successful application – which we will pay for.
At Newmedica we actively promote diversity and equal opportunities and we are committed to this in both the running of our services and how we recruit our staff. We actively encourage applications from everyone with the essential requirements of the job regardless of any protected characteristics.
