Electrical Testing Engineer

The Opportunity
Are you an experienced electrical professional with a background in industrial and manufacturing environments? We're looking for an Electrical Testing Engineer to join a specialist team focused on electrical compliance and energised testing. What You'll Be Doing

1. Carrying out fixed wire testing (EICR) to assess the safety and condition of electrical systems.
2. Performing static testing on electrical systems to ensure operational integrity.
3. Conducting ultrasonic testing, where required, to detect potential faults or inefficiencies.
4. Testing and inspecting electrical systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
5. Performing safe isolation procedures and issuing condition reports.
6. Supporting the commissioning of electrical systems up to 1000V.
7. Interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings to complete tasks effectively.
8. Travelling to Hull approximately one day per week.

What We're Looking For

1. Strong experience in electrical testing, particularly within process plant environments.
2. Background in manufacturing or industrial sectors is essential.
3. 18th Edition and 2391 (or 2394/5) Inspection & Testing qualifications.
4. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
5. Level 3 Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations.
6. Full UK driving licence.
7. Experience using thermal imaging test equipment would be beneficial but isn't essential.
