Job summary
A technology solutions provider in Worcester is seeking a Firmware Engineer to work closely with multiple teams and contribute to firmware solutions in an exciting industry. Candidates should have a solid background in Software Engineering, experience with Embedded Linux, and the capability to lead technical projects. A degree in Software or Electronics is required, along with experience in ARM microcontrollers and communication interfaces. This position offers the chance to innovate in a dynamic work environment.

YT Tech are working on behalf of a client in Worcester who are looking for a Firmware Engineer. This is a permanent position and they are looking for someone ASAP.
You will be working closely with a mix of teams and engineers and will have exposure to a range of technolgies in an interesting industry.
You should have;
- Good all-round knowledge of Software Engineering with relevant, applied, design experience.
- Software, Electronics or related Degree Educated (2:1 minimum).
- Capable of architecting and designing firmware solutions.
- Capable of taking ownership of designs and leading technically when necessary.
Having experience with the below will be essential as you will be working with;
- Embedded Linux for ARM and x86 imaging architectures.
- STM32 ARM Microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi, NXP i.mX.
- Interfacing with a range of Analogue, Digital and Electromechanical components and sensors.
- Basic Graphic User Interfaces
- Communication Interfaces (e.g. USB3.2, MIPI, PCIe, I2C, SPI).
- Camera, Motor and Temperature Control.
- Lighting control (e.g. Lasers, LEDs, flash lamps).
- Basic safety critical circuits.
