Water Treatment Technician

Mobile role with Van and Fuel Card

£30,000 + per year plus package

With over 40 years' experience in the industry, our client is an expert in the specialist area of mechanical and electrical engineering. They are looking for a Water Treatment Technician to join their established commercial office and retail contract in the Birmingham/West Bromwich area.

This role involves carrying out water hygiene and treatment services at various client sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The position will require regular visits to multiple locations to maintain water quality and safety. You will be responsible for maintaining water systems, conducting testing, and providing solutions to improve water quality.

Key Responsibilities of Our Water Treatment Technician:

• Conduct water treatment and hygiene services, including water sampling, temperature monitoring, and disinfection.
• Perform chemical dosing, system flushing, and cleaning of cooling towers, boilers, and other water systems.
• Carry out Legionella risk assessments and ensure compliance with ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines.
• Interpret test results and recommend corrective actions to improve water quality.
• Maintain accurate service records and prepare detailed reports for clients.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment equipment.
• Work in compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in water treatment, water hygiene, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Legionella control and water treatment processes.
• Familiarity with ACOP L8, HSG274, and other industry regulations.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
