At Capgemini Invent, we believe difference drives change. As inventive transformation consultants, we blend our strategic, creative and scientific capabilities, collaborating closely with clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Join us to drive transformation tailored to our client's challenges of today and tomorrow. Informed and validated by science and data. Superpowered by creativity and design. All underpinned by technology created with purpose.

Your Role

As a Cloud Strategy Managing Consultant at Capgemini Invent you will be part of our Cloud Advisory capability within the wider Business Technology capability unit. Our cloud advisory capability aims to inspire, lead and support organisations on their journey of adopting cloud for creating business and revenue models, generating growth, ensuring regulatory compliance and reducing their carbon footprint.

Cloud is a key enabler for every business strategy from new business models to strategic risk management. A cloud strategy is no longer just an infrastructure strategy, but also includes business, application, data, security, integration and platform strategy. As a cloud strategy consultant, you will combine your understanding of our client’s businesses and our thought leadership in the industry to create cloud strategies that will enable future ready enterprises. You will deliver business focussed cloud strategies that will enable the adoption, acceleration, and innovation on the cloud for our clients.

You will be required to work and communicate with all levels of an organisation to collaboratively innovate, design and implement new business and operating models. You’ll bring an acute sense of market trends and the challenges facing our clients, to deliver lasting and sustainable organisation transformations.

You will have a desire to contribute to the growth and success of a top-tier consulting practice. You’ll contribute to our market offers, knowledge and the overall strategic goals of the practice. In delivery and leadership, you will contribute towards consulting sales target in excess of £500,000 per annum.

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal Contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & Development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
Your Profile

You will bring experience in transforming business through technology and transforming the way clients operate. Comfortable at working in a technology-driven environment, you will bring proven skills and experience in the following:

  • Experience in cloud strategy and implementation for large or mid size organisations on public clouds (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Experience in developing cloud adoption strategy and roadmaps for clients
  • Implementation of cloud strategies & transformation plans for clients to migrate to cloud.
  • Experience in translation of client business challenges into cloud-based solutions and strategy within specific technology and business domains
  • Understanding of cloud transformation challenges and pitfalls
  • Understanding of industry clouds provided by AWS, Azure, GCP in one or more industry domains
  • Understanding of the role of cloud for transformation of data & analytics, customer experiences and enterprise transformation
  • Understanding of cloud operating models for public/private, hybrid and multi-cloud
  • Understanding of cloud security models, DevSecOps and cloud operations
  • Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Being comfortable in a client-facing role, with previously consulting or advisory experience.

In addition to the capabilities mentioned above, we are looking for an additional set of experiences from candidates seeking to apply to Managing Consultant and Senior Manager level:

  • Evidence of having successfully delivered and led advisory engagements, driving positive outcomes and developing opportunities to deliver follow-on work
  • Evidence of leading successful large-scale, complex IT transformation delivery engagements in alignment to a client’s strategic objectives
  • Evidence of managing teams, including multiple workstreams in complex delivery environments
  • The ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Experience in leading and supporting sales efforts, as well as shaping deal and engagement commercials
  • Evidence of achieving sales targets
  • Evidence of practice development, team building and developing more junior colleagues
What You'll Love About Working Here

No matter the project or customer, your work will have a meaningful impact on society, businesses and lives. It’s really rewarding. And it’s also really varied. You’ll potentially work on a huge variety of projects (some larger than others), so you could gain lots of experience in a short amount of time.

Client engagements give you the opportunity to work with our leadership and experienced consulting management, where you can learn from them, challenge them and accelerate your hands-on experience, delivery capability and industry insights. There are many opportunities like monthly team drinks to connect face-to-face with the wider team over a few drinks in the city. There are regular leadership connect sessions that will give you a different, more relaxed setting to meet up in the office to hear from the leadership, meet colleagues and discuss the trends and insights within the market. Team days are always a chance to connect with the team, have fun and learn something new.

When you join Capgemini, you’ll join a team that does the right thing.

Whilst you will have London, Manchester or Glasgow as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.

We offer a remuneration package which includes flexible benefits options for you to choose to suit your own personal circumstances and a variable element dependent grade and on company and personal performance.
