A leading offshore contracting firm is seeking an experienced Offshore Installation Manager to join their team in Cassis, France on a 6-month renewable contract starting March 2026. The candidate must have over 10 years of offshore operations experience and fluency in both French and English, alongside strong technical writing skills. Responsibilities include leading the review of offshore installation methodologies and ensuring compliance with client requirements during critical tender phases. A valid EU work permit is essential.
We are currently supporting an offshore contractor during a critical tender phase and are looking for an experienced Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) to join the team on a 6-month renewable contract starting in March 2026.
The role will be based in Cassis, France, with a minimum of three days per week on site. Fluency in both French and English is essential, and candidates must already hold a valid EU work permit.
This position will suit a senior offshore leader who combines strong operational OIM experience with the ability to review, challenge, and shape offshore installation methodologies to meet client expectations during bid evaluation.
Acting as the offshore installation authority from a tender perspective, you will lead the review and alignment of proposed offshore installation strategies with client requirements. You will work closely with bid, engineering, and operations teams to ensure that methodologies are realistic, compliant, and clearly justified.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing installation methodologies covering marine operations, offshore installation, SIMOPS, lifting, subsea installation, and trenching; identifying and documenting deviations versus client requirements; and preparing structured qualification dossiers with clear technical justifications, mitigations, and supporting evidence.
You will also adapt and validate the Offshore Installation Execution Plan, review the proposed marine spread and asset selection for shallow water suitability, and oversee the production and validation of key documents such as schedules, risk registers, bridging documents, method statements, and marine spread compatibility reviews.
This role requires an experienced Offshore Installation Manager with around 10 years or more of offshore operations and installation experience, ideally gained within EPCI project environments and with major offshore contractors.
You will have hands-on experience applying major operator standards, not just exposure at interface level, and strong expertise in shallow water installation methodologies, including pipeline S-lay, anchored pipelay barge operations, shore pull and landfall activities, and trenching or nearshore works.
Strong technical writing skills are essential, as the role involves producing clear, structured tender-level documentation. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project is also required.
If you’re looking for a new challenge and meet the above criteria, please apply.
