Nova Scotia is rich in natural resources including biodiversity, forests, geological resources, provincial parks, and the land we manage. The Department of Natural Resources is responsible for the development, management, conservation and protection of forest, mineral, parks and wildlife resources and the administration of the province's Crown lands. Together we are working with Nova Scotians to build a better future through sustainable natural resource management.
Under the supervision of the Manager, Forest Management Planning and Research and working closely with the 2BT program lead, the 2BT Coordinator assists the Program Specialist in the administration and delivery of an anticipated multi-year provincial tree planting program in support of the Federal 2-Billion Trees Initiative launched by NRCan in 2021.

This position is a combination of office work (based in Truro) and travel province-wide to forest environments to facilitate 2BT projects and to collaborate with project clients. Field work will include extensive working in forest environments and carrying small amounts of field equipment.
Pay Grade: PR 06- PR 10
Salary Range: $1,924.95- $2,760.42 Bi-Weekly
