SUMMARY:
West Toronto Housing Help Services is one of eleven Housing Help Hubs funded by the City of Toronto to provide Housing Help services to residents in the west end of the city. We are a project of West Toronto Community Legal Services, a non-profit community based legal clinic. Our housing help workers assist homeless and at-risk clients in securing housing in the west end of Toronto. Our rent bank workers provide eviction prevention services by assisting individuals and families complete applications to access the Rent Bank grant program.
We are seeking a new Rent Bank Worker to work 28 hrs a week. Under the supervision of the Manager of Housing Help Services, the successful candidate will provide assistance to individuals and families facing temporary financial hardship to prevent eviction and ensure housing stability.
The successful candidate will start as soon as possible and will work both in office and remotely as part of our Housing Help Team.
The wage is $27.43/hour (28 hours per week), pursuant to our collective agreement, and an extended health benefit package after the first 3 months of employment. The position also receives a 5.5% RRSP contribution.
