We are looking for an Solutions Architect for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Wheatland County, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Hybrid schedule, at least 4 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architecture Lead to drive the strategic design and implementation of emerging technology roadmaps, master data management frameworks, and IT modernization initiatives. This role will play a critical part in aligning business objectives with technology capabilities, ensuring seamless digital transformation and enhanced user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement multi-stage, data-driven emerging technology investment roadmaps, incorporating AI, RPA, BI, data integration, and automation to drive business innovation.
- Collaborate with the internal business working group Transformation Committee to support next-generation IT capabilities, including Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure AI, and Co-Pilot.
- Design and oversee a rightsized master data management (MDM) strategy to eliminate data silos, create a flexible enterprise messaging bus, and establish a robust data integration platform.
- Lead the development of a data disaster recovery plan and a user-friendly record management system to enhance business operations.
- Improve user experience (UX) focused IT evergreening by streamlining technology infrastructure, including hybrid cloud migration, server and network consolidation, and mobile device management.
- Strengthen business continuity and incident response by ensuring effective IT recovery and security resilience.
- Architect multi-cloud hybrid migration solutions spanning Azure, AWS, and on-premises environments, ensuring efficient network transit design and cloud disaster recovery capabilities.
- Develop an information security compliance strategy that aligns with enterprise risk management frameworks.
- Optimize cloud costs while defining detailed technical migration plans and change scripts (RFCs) for seamless execution.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in emerging business technologies, including AI, RPA, BI, data integration, and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure AI, and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of master data management (MDM) principles and enterprise integration frameworks.
- Proficiency in hybrid cloud architectures, including Azure and AWS.
- Knowledge of information security compliance and IT disaster recovery planning.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
