About The Role

We are seeking for an ambitious Junior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This way it can make the right decisions and accomplish long term success.

What You Will Do

1. Post business transactions, process invoices, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts receivable & payable records.
2. Serve as a liaison between sales teams, customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and other relevant parties to facilitate the exchange of information and documentation related to sales transactions.
3. Update accounts receivable and issue statement of accounts.
4. Update expenses records and reconciliations.
5. Accept payments & issue receipts.
6. Calculate and return change when required by the payment method.
7. Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and request additional change.
8. Assist with reviewing expenses, loan & sales commissions records etc. as assigned.
9. Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
10. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
11. Assist with other accounting projects.

Who You Are

1. Excellent communication skills in Arabic & English
2. Proven experience as a junior accountant
3. Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. NetSuite)
4. Great attention to detail
5. Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
6. Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
7. Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
