Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant at our restaurant establishment located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Restaurant Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our hospitality ventures, with a focus on accurate recording and analysis of income and expenditures. Key responsibilities include handling day-to-day financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling daily sales and cash flow, preparing financial reports specific to restaurant operations, and overseeing payroll processing. The role requires close collaboration with restaurant managers and operations teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily revenue, expense, and inventory records for restaurant operations
• Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and cash flow reports
• Reconcile POS reports with bank statements and monitor discrepancies
• Manage vendor payments, supplier accounts, and petty cash
• Support budgeting and forecasting specific to restaurant performance
• Ensure tax and regulatory compliance in line with UAE financial standards
• Assist in internal audits and implement cost control procedures
• Collaborate with operations for pricing, menu cost analysis, and financial planning

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an accountant in the hospitality or restaurant industry
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and inventory software
• Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting
• Knowledge of UAE accounting standards and tax regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
